Covid: UK cases spike 62% in a week to 26,068 but deaths drop to 14 amid calls to 'go quicker'

Department of Health bosses posted just 14 Covid deaths today, falling 26.3 per cent on last Wednesday's figure of 19, in a clear sign of the vaccine effect in the face of climbing cases.
